630 – Sixth Sense

Stephen and Josh discuss our comprehensive win against a lacklustre Brisbane Roar. We respond to a few emails and comments over a few aspects of Gombau’s Wanderers, football in general and the A-League.

We also look towards the last round of the regular season against Adelaide United as we hope to hold onto 6th position.

617 – Undefeated (Calendar Year)

As far as our 2018 start goes, it’s much better than how our 2017 ended. Three games in, seven points the better and looking like a more well-oiled machine game by game, bar a few lapses.

Having played Brisbane and Adelaide in the space of four days (played on Friday and Wednesday), we now go to Wellington who had a win themselves in controversial ways against a 10-man Victory.

Will we see an even more well-oiled machine, or will we scrap it out in a tight game? Listen in and find out.

S05E26: Sent Auff

Western Sydney’s mediocre season has finally come to an end at the hands of Brisbane Roar. We talk of what went right, and what obviously went wrong, and what we should have done.

There’s football, tv quotes, one of the team says farewell, and the whole team says goodbye for another season – this is the final episode of Around the Bloc for 2016-17.

S05E25: Youth Tube™

Whatever happened in round 27, we were going to get an away final so Popa decided to mix youth, experience, and Ryan Griffiths for his team lineup. In the end, it was a hard fought second half which produced a 2-2 draw, putting us up against the Roar – meaning we’ll have played them in every finals series we’ve participated in. A win there would have the FFA covered in more ectoplasm than Randy Marsh, knowing they’ll take all the ticket earnings from a Sydney Derby semi.

S05E9: Fortress Spotless

Winless and lossless at our new home ground, we’re renaming our team to be the Wandrawers – another point to add to our slowly growing total.

Despite our lacklustre results, we still manage to compare our team to both of those that play in El Clasico, as well as Liverpool, so rest assured – we are still as one eyed as ever!
