S05E24: Pleading For Fifth

A fairly dull draw secured our spot in this years finals series so we look at how Popa’s famous rotation policy may or may not be in full effect.

We also consider the fact that there may be one more Sydney Derby left this season, discuss the upcoming visit from Arsenal (minus all the good players) and Nova talks about (and is probably still talking about) his feelings on the 6 team finals series. Toilet seat, indeed.

S05E11: 1+9=3-0

Some will say our maths is as bad as our goalkeeper, or as good as Victory’s main man up front.
That was the difference between a number 1 and a number 9 that led to our third loss of the season after 10 rounds.

With Brendan and Steve getting the treatment, a regular voice was made host and another Uruguayan was in Ivan’s place.

S04E11: Seven Deadly Wins

On the 12th of December, my true love gave me a seventh win in a row to celebrate, an epic atmosphere, a few good saves, a dominant performance, an absent opposition attack and this podcast, Around the B L O C

S04E10: Onward To Victory

Some of us weren’t there to witness the Wanderers sixth win in a row but it was a sacrifice that many were willing to make. Nichols channeled Shinji for the winner and we look forward to our biggest match of the year against victory.

S03E14: Spoken in Brazilian

Once again we were our Own Worst Enemy as we lost to Melbourne Victory, but Mr. Brightside, Tony Popovic, says after some Little Talks and a trip to Coffs Harbour, we’ll come back and stop being Losers, hopefully move up to at least The Middle of the table and curb our trend of coming Undone (like a sweater, when you’re holding the thread as I walk away).

We can’t take ourselves too seriously when we’re in this position though, and despite all our rage we are still just a pod on a stage where we need to have a laugh, and ‪#‎ATBFeedback‬ provides that this week.

We’ll be back after the Asia Cup break, after having eaten millions of peaches, asking ourselves ‘Whats My Age Again?’, and with the Longview towards the finals. Will it happen? …No-one Knows.

S02E07: Reigning at the Top

It was wet, wet, wet in Parramatta on Saturday night, but the love was certainly not all around in the stadium, with the two arguably biggest and most passionate groups of fans in the A-League battling it out in the stands. It was 82 minutes before Mark Bridge put away the winner, and less than 24 hours later the Wanderers finished the round at the top of the table for the first time this season. The bliss turns to diss in ATBFeedback, the joy for the Wanderers unfortunately stopped short of the W-League and Youth League games, and the Newcastle Jets and Michael Turner both pull off upsets over their opponents in the same game. All this and much more on this edition of Around The Bloc.
