S05E07: Borda Insecurity

If you’re anything like us, your happiness rollercoastered from about 80% to 99% to 0% within about 45 minutes on Saturday night. A struggling defence couldn’t keep up with Victory’s competent attack and we were put on show. Of course we also look forward to playing Melbourne City this weekend, who have been quiet at best this season… haven’t they?

S04E26: March Mediocrity

The Wanderers were essentially crucified due to a mediocre performance against victory, and will need to rise again on Friday against mariners to have any chance of finishing in the top 2.

ATBFeedback confirmed our concerns and things will need to change in the last few weeks if the club is going to keep the fans happy.

S04E19: What about me? It isn’t flare!

A draw at the death against Victory was, quite literally, overshadowed by a smoke cloud which got a lot of people talking. Probably coughing too.

The squad has been made depleted for our upcoming game too, which made us wonder who would be in the starting XI this valentines day?

S04E11: Seven Deadly Wins

On the 12th of December, my true love gave me a seventh win in a row to celebrate, an epic atmosphere, a few good saves, a dominant performance, an absent opposition attack and this podcast, Around the B L O C

S03E21: Unhappy Meal

Well, you win some, you lose… most – We beat one Melbourne team and then, despite actually playing reasonably well, lost against the other one. We saw glimpses of the kind of play that can win games in style, but it could be too little too late for this season.

In positive news, the youth and fringe players got a run and they all did us proud. Our ATBFeedback responses echoed our calls for these guys to be used more and more, and we may just see that as we take on FC Seoul in South Korea this week, where we may have more of a chance at getting 3 points than you might think.

S03E14: Spoken in Brazilian

Once again we were our Own Worst Enemy as we lost to Melbourne Victory, but Mr. Brightside, Tony Popovic, says after some Little Talks and a trip to Coffs Harbour, we’ll come back and stop being Losers, hopefully move up to at least The Middle of the table and curb our trend of coming Undone (like a sweater, when you’re holding the thread as I walk away).

We can’t take ourselves too seriously when we’re in this position though, and despite all our rage we are still just a pod on a stage where we need to have a laugh, and ‪#‎ATBFeedback‬ provides that this week.

We’ll be back after the Asia Cup break, after having eaten millions of peaches, asking ourselves ‘Whats My Age Again?’, and with the Longview towards the finals. Will it happen? …No-one Knows.

S02E14: Two and a Half Men

Two and a half men present this week’s podcast, with a lineup more depleted than the Wanderers themselves, bringing you the mixed news from the last week. The Wanderers were the first team to win the Sydney Derby at home, but followed it up with a loss in Melbourne.

ATBFeedback goes into overdrive, Speccy and JAR go overboard, transfer rumours are overhyped and we all get overtly stupid, in this week’s overtime Around The Bloc.

S02E12: The Hangover

Fireworks this week as the ATB boys leave their luxurious holiday homes to once again bung on about the Wanderers in the first podcast of the new year. We showed sparkle and flare to beat the Mariners, were disappointed at what seemed like a minute after midnight in Melbourne, and Wellington were 2 hours AND 2 goals ahead of us, although we didn’t know that at the time of recording so you can still hear the gleeful optimism in our voices.

#ATBFeedback goes live this week and we hear many different stories from Wanderers away trips, straight from the horse’s mouths, and all the usual stuff is in there too.

Finally, Happy New Year to all of our listeners. This is Around The Bloc.

S02E07: Reigning at the Top

It was wet, wet, wet in Parramatta on Saturday night, but the love was certainly not all around in the stadium, with the two arguably biggest and most passionate groups of fans in the A-League battling it out in the stands. It was 82 minutes before Mark Bridge put away the winner, and less than 24 hours later the Wanderers finished the round at the top of the table for the first time this season. The bliss turns to diss in ATBFeedback, the joy for the Wanderers unfortunately stopped short of the W-League and Youth League games, and the Newcastle Jets and Michael Turner both pull off upsets over their opponents in the same game. All this and much more on this edition of Around The Bloc.
