S05E16: Brissed Off

A late goal from Brett Holman sealed our fate as Brisbane scored yet another late winner, which led to plenty of discussion post-game about whether Tony Popovic still has a place at the club. Has he got the full support of the board? Or will he remain at WSW?
We then move onto the geography of New Zealand and work out where our next game is, and how to get there – then, with as much confidence as Popa had in stating that we’ll win this years Grand Final, we all decide that we’ll flog the Nix.

S04E23: 2nd Heaven

Wanderers defended like crap on the weekend and conceded two late goals to lose 3 points and top spot. It did get us talking about where the real issues in the team were, and where new signings might be made for next year.

We also look forward to another potential banana skin, as another round approaches and the top 6 carousel builds further momentum.

S03E23: Bloc, Rocket, Beats

It was another mixed week for Wanderers fans, firstly obtaining all 3 points against Brisbane in one of their highest wins ever, and then heading to the West Coast for an unfortunate loss. The travelling RBB did their best to show the Perth fans how it’s done, and despite the loss on the field, it was a clear cut contest who won off it.

We do have the ACL to look forward to in the next week, as well as a match against Melbourne City who we’ve beaten recently – if history repeats, this could be our most successful fortnight of the season!

S03E20: For Nato

Each week, we talk about our chances against our opposition, and each week this year, bar one or two, we’ve been let down. ATBFeedback this week asks the question – should we use the rest of this season to roll the dice with our youth players, rather than tire our first team out even more? We’ve got 2 games in 3 days so is now as good a time as any to take the pressure off our increasingly fatigued seniors?

We also talk about our recent losses against Brisbane and Guangzhou, but unlike our controversy-laden Champions League game, we go far more than 17 minutes overtime.

S02E08: Scrappy Curtains with Pancakes

Around the Bloc returns for another week and, like Brisbane Roar, is only good for about 20 minutes, but still does enough to see out a full hour and a half. Turner, our resident caped crusader, tells us what he remembers of his antics from the away trip whilst Brendan makes one too many trips to Marconi. The boys finally get to dissect a loss but, with the help of #ATBFeedback, are able to see the positives. There’s good news for the Youth League, segues galore, and much much more on this edition of Around the Bloc.
