S05E26: Sent Auff

Western Sydney’s mediocre season has finally come to an end at the hands of Brisbane Roar. We talk of what went right, and what obviously went wrong, and what we should have done.

There’s football, tv quotes, one of the team says farewell, and the whole team says goodbye for another season – this is the final episode of Around the Bloc for 2016-17.

S05E25: Youth Tube™

Whatever happened in round 27, we were going to get an away final so Popa decided to mix youth, experience, and Ryan Griffiths for his team lineup. In the end, it was a hard fought second half which produced a 2-2 draw, putting us up against the Roar – meaning we’ll have played them in every finals series we’ve participated in. A win there would have the FFA covered in more ectoplasm than Randy Marsh, knowing they’ll take all the ticket earnings from a Sydney Derby semi.

S05E9: Fortress Spotless

Winless and lossless at our new home ground, we’re renaming our team to be the Wandrawers – another point to add to our slowly growing total.

Despite our lacklustre results, we still manage to compare our team to both of those that play in El Clasico, as well as Liverpool, so rest assured – we are still as one eyed as ever!

S04E23: 2nd Heaven

Wanderers defended like crap on the weekend and conceded two late goals to lose 3 points and top spot. It did get us talking about where the real issues in the team were, and where new signings might be made for next year.

We also look forward to another potential banana skin, as another round approaches and the top 6 carousel builds further momentum.

S04E02: It’s a Girl

Twitter’s Tatiyana joins us this week to discuss fame, fortune, food, and other F words we use to describe the loss to Brisbane.

The cons outweighed the pros, but the fact there were any positive moments is an improvement, and we pick out the things we need to do better next week in ‪#‎ATBFeedback‬

S03E23: Bloc, Rocket, Beats

It was another mixed week for Wanderers fans, firstly obtaining all 3 points against Brisbane in one of their highest wins ever, and then heading to the West Coast for an unfortunate loss. The travelling RBB did their best to show the Perth fans how it’s done, and despite the loss on the field, it was a clear cut contest who won off it.

We do have the ACL to look forward to in the next week, as well as a match against Melbourne City who we’ve beaten recently – if history repeats, this could be our most successful fortnight of the season!

S03E20: For Nato

Each week, we talk about our chances against our opposition, and each week this year, bar one or two, we’ve been let down. ATBFeedback this week asks the question – should we use the rest of this season to roll the dice with our youth players, rather than tire our first team out even more? We’ve got 2 games in 3 days so is now as good a time as any to take the pressure off our increasingly fatigued seniors?

We also talk about our recent losses against Brisbane and Guangzhou, but unlike our controversy-laden Champions League game, we go far more than 17 minutes overtime.
