632 – State of the Game

In a special episode of Around The Bloc Turner, Josh, Tatiyana and Nick took to the Fox Sports studio’s along side Adam Peacock and Simon Hill from Fox Sports, and Greg O’Rourke from the FFA/A-League to discuss the big issues within football in Australia from grassroots all the way to the A-League and everything in between.

631 – Theventh Heaven

Mediocrity should not be rewarded and thankfully for us, it wasn’t. A narrow 3:2 loss to a resurgent Adelaide United meant the Wanderers were knocked out of the top six and now get to regroup or find new clubs for next season (we’re used to it).

Turner, Tats and Nick discuss the shambles of the game, plus also looking at the winners of the Wanderer’s medals, looking into the knock-out ‘semi’s’ for this week and our State of the Game podcast with Fox Sports hosts and special guests.

630 – Sixth Sense

Stephen and Josh discuss our comprehensive win against a lacklustre Brisbane Roar. We respond to a few emails and comments over a few aspects of Gombau’s Wanderers, football in general and the A-League.

We also look towards the last round of the regular season against Adelaide United as we hope to hold onto 6th position.

629 – Ce-hoodoo

Another trip to AAMI Park (albeit improved), wasn’t enough to get a much needed win against Melbourne Victory.

Some players who’ve been under the interrogation lamp showed us the better light, while others might as well have been found with their pants down.

It took the VAR way to long to tell us that Kosta Barbarouses was randomly selected for an extended Easter break, but Turner wastes no time in telling us what he did over the weekend whilst Tatiyana is ready to fight him.

Also included is the talk of new players and the managers potential length of stay, whether next to no opposing active fans is why the travelling numbers are low and does Turner eat Stalactites more than three times a day?

628 – City Blues

Stephen and Josh are back to discuss a disappointing performance against Melbourne City which doesn’t give us confidence leading into another Melbourne away trip to Victory.
Why did we perform so badly? Is it the cattle at Gombau’s disposal, or is it Gombau’s approach to the season?

627 – Slow Split Round

With all the talk of managers leaving, players having tantrums, coaching staff complaining about kebabs and more, there was a lot to talk about in this looooong podcast primed for your traffic-heavy delayed travel to work.

Turner manages more works per minute once again, Tats is requesting you to just “@” her and Nick is a tired man who gets yelled at.

Why? Listen and find out.

626 – [Title Retracted]

Stephen and Josh are back to talk all things football on and off the pitch. We look at the Wanderers comprehensive win against Wellington Phoenix, veer off into a discussion about what’s wrong with the A-League (again), football in this country (again) and then get angry and frustrated at fans’ treatment at certain venues and in the media (again).

625 – Around The SellOuts

We were sold on the SkyDeck at Spotless Stadium for the match against Perth Glory, albeit not sold on the game, but it was nice to be out yelling and having a bevvy at the SkyDeck bar (more can be seen of our ATB live reactions.) here. We also got to have a chat with Fox Sports’ Adam Peacock and our very own midfield man Roly Bonevacia, (who knows when to shoot… you’ll hear why).

The view was good, the game wasn’t. The weather was good, the attendance wasn’t.
Apart from that, there was still a fair bit to cover and Turner, Tats and Nick were at the helm of this one.
